Merlin is on his last leg…

Almost 4 years ago I purchased my first laptop (merlin). It’s a Dell Inspiron 7500. It’s a boat anchor but it was pretty cool in it’s day. Well, merlin has been going down hill lately. A couple months ago one of the hinges that connects the LCD to the chassis broke. Two weeks ago, the other hinge broke. This left me with a laptop that couldn’t be moved for fear of breaking the tiny little ribbon cable holding the screen on.

Well, on Friday I finally bit the bullet and ordered a replacement…
